- Special school from the age of 3 and integrated into mainstream from the age of 12
- Entered mainstream college at 18
- AAC user for 11 years - experience with Liberator and the Vanguard 1 and 2
- Numerous talks to schools, SENCO conferences, universities, colleges and training courses
- Supported individual AAC students in their school environment
- Led communication group at Fountaindale School for talker users
- All examinations, both at school and college, taken with communication aid linked to a computer
- Worked closely with Manufacture of AAC communication aids concerning preferred features and testing new software
- Presentations on behalf of Manufacturers
- Role model for the 1Voice charity - attended various weekends to assist talker users and their families
- Attended the Employment Conference in Pittsburgh USA and addressed delegates
- Chosen to be involved in the Government sponsored RITE project and addressed a teachers symposium at Glamorgan University
- Addressed the Communication Matters Conference and was awarded the runners up Distinguished User Award
