  • Special school from the age of 3 and integrated into mainstream from the age of 12
  • Entered mainstream college at 18
  • AAC user for 11 years - experience with Liberator and the Vanguard 1 and 2
  • Numerous talks to schools, SENCO conferences, universities, colleges and training courses
  • Supported individual AAC students in their school environment
  • Led communication group at Fountaindale School for talker users
  • All examinations, both at school and college, taken with communication aid linked to a computer
  • Worked closely with Manufacture of AAC communication aids concerning preferred features and testing new software
  • Presentations on behalf of Manufacturers
  • Role model for the 1Voice charity - attended various weekends to assist talker users and their families
  • Attended the Employment Conference in Pittsburgh USA and addressed delegates
  • Chosen to be involved in the Government sponsored RITE project and addressed a teachers symposium at Glamorgan University
  • Addressed the Communication Matters Conference and was awarded the runners up Distinguished User Award
